Mammoth in July
Fourth of July weekend gave us an inspiring fireworks show off the top of Mammoth Mountain, with the sunset and the Minarettes and the Ritter Range offering an imcomparable backdrop.
But maybe the most incredible part of the holiday was what happened on July 5: we kept skiing.
To everything there is a season, but this year Mammoth has made the case for summer skiing as more than just a curiosity. The skiing has been great fun throughout these extended weeks. It all ends, alas, August 6, marking an incredible ten months of turns. It's been one to remember.
