Happy New Year!
The weather pipeline continues for California, bringing some truly spectacular storms this past week. Mammoth is currently reporting a 158" base at McCoy Station—with much more on the way.
For now, we're visiting family and thus missing the snow and rain extravaganza on the coast, but enjoying fine conditions here at the San Francisco Peaks in Northern Arizona.
Given Mount Baldy's Thunder Mountain is not yet open, I feel it's a little premature to declare this a bona-fide SoCal winter, but for the rest of the state, this looks like a big one no matter what happens next. Please be safe out there and enjoy our winter wonderlands.
