All Things Must Pass

We are working our way through the steps. One day at a time is the motto around here. We've signed a lease for an apartment, and we have a plan in place for school, which will alas involve splitting the family for now. While we lost a lot, we remain very fortunate. Thank you everyone for all the love and support—it has made a huge difference

My family and I are deeply grateful to all of you for your kind words, encouragement, and offers of support. Every message and every gesture—big or small—has meant a lot to us. We're doing the best we can ❤️

Can’t imagine what your family is going through. Wishing you all the best.

So sorry Andy, it’s been awhile since I was at your house and I just realized you may have been affected by this fire so I looked up your site. Damn. I’ve been through a fire damage before but only as an owner, not as the victim, so I can only imagine the shake-up of your lives. I’m praying for your family’s recovery and maybe a little snow healing as well-you’re due a break my friend.

Stopped by Sierradescents, thinking. . . maybe Andy knows where there is snow in California? Definitely was not expecting this - very sorry. Obviously, family is the priority, and stuff (e.g. houses, ski's, bikes. . . ) can be replaced.
I don't have a home to share. However, If you are average sized (e.g. I am 5'10") and need some skis (e.g. ~180 cm, 95mm waist, tech binding, skins. . .set for ~26.5 boot) or a bike, feel free to reach out. I enjoy your stories and would be happy to return favor.

I think of you and your family often. I don't know you but I read your story and was moved. This is still so painful. I worry and wonder about what all survivors are faced with. How you feel waking up. It's good to know you have support around you. I hope FEMA and all agencies/people are making things easy for you. I hope you settle in and find comfort in your apartment. Please know we have not forgotten any of you.
