Little Williamson

Here's sunrise on a snowy Mountain Williamson near Valyermo, California as seen yesterday. This is the north side of the San Gabriels—a less traveled but very special part of the range.

My favorite perspective of the range is from the north. The north face of Baldy is so intimidating, the rise abrupt and the verticality intense.
Would that a well funded group of investors create a serious resort with lifts all the way to Baldy's summit. There is a huge market sitting just to the south of the peak, many of whom drive the many hours to Mammoth for big mountain skiing. Having a big mountain in their backyard would likely be lucrative.
The average snowfall of ~100" a year is a bit of a problem, though.

I believe I know where this is. What a view with those cottonwoods. These desert ranges are special places.
